Snap Li walks onto the stage with a microphone and starts talking about something most of us would rather not think about too much: getting older.

old. is a very personal stand-up show about what happens to your body and your mind as you move through your thirties. Physical and mental health come up throughout the show, alongside the small changes and realisations that make you wonder when exactly you became an adult who has opinions about their own health.

Drawing from personal experiences, the comedian turns the less glamorous parts of getting older into comedy. Some stories are about the body, others about mental wellbeing, and many of them touch on that strange feeling of being young enough to remember being carefree, but old enough to start thinking twice about things you never used to consider.

The simplicity of the setup works well. One performer, a microphone and an hour of personal stories are enough to carry the show.

old. is an honest and relatable look at ageing, without trying to make it more complicated than it needs to be. Because apparently, getting older is mostly about discovering new things about yourself that you never asked to know.

The final performance is Saturday 12 September. The Tallinn Fringe Festival continues for another week, until 18 September.
