Three performers, colourful costumes, plenty of props and a stage that keeps transforming. Are You Lovin’ It? takes us into the strange world of WacDonalds, using physical comedy, exaggerated characters and playful visuals to explore consumerism, globalisation and politics.

The show is full of colour, with several costume changes and different sets helping to create an immersive, almost cartoon-like world. The performers constantly move between characters and situations, keeping the atmosphere light and playful.

But beneath all that colour and silliness is a much more serious message. The show touches on violence, capitalism, globalisation and the idea of peace, creating an interesting contrast between the cheerful, almost childish energy of the performance and the political subjects underneath it.

Kayo Tamura, Nono Miyasaka and Ryo Nishihara fully embrace the physical and theatrical style, throwing themselves into the costumes, characters and exaggerated movements.

Are You Lovin’ It? is colourful, unusual and unapologetically political. Behind all the WacDonalds madness, the show leaves you with some serious questions about consumerism, violence and the world we have created around them.

The show has several more performances in its run, on 12, 15 and 18 September. The Tallinn Fringe Festival continues until 18 September.
